Working with Annie, you’ll notice that she cultivates a safe space for vulnerable evolution — applicable to up-and-coming brands, established publications, and women seeking out a photographer for personal portraits. With empathy and creative direction her artwork takes the angle of the female gaze while following fine art practices. Using both film and digital mediums, Annie captures the true essence of her subjects — reflecting the dichotomy between beauty and strength in a way that is soft, modern, minimal, and impactful. Annie is passionate about documenting the unique stories of both her brand and boudoir photography clients and promoting body diversity, inclusivity, and self-love, ensuring that all bodies are celebrated and honored physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
The Approach

A photo session with Annie is connective, intimate, and inspiring. She handles every detail with intention, making it a seamless and luxurious experience. Annie’s aesthetic is clean and minimal and reflects who she is: soft, emotional, and vulnerable with an underlying darkness and edge. She is inspired by classic country songs which evoke feelings of spirituality, community, home, and individual storytelling. She is especially inspired by artists who were not afraid to break down barriers like Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, and Kacey Musgraves, promoting visibility, diversity, and inclusion in her work.

THE BACKSTORY
Having grown up in an environment where individual differences were not accepted, Annie searched for her place in the world.
Over time, she felt inspired to create experiences for women that inspire personal growth and connection to their bodies and feminine energy.
At 24, she was diagnosed with a debilitating chronic illness drastically affecting her physical abilities, physical appearance, and her overall feelings of self-worth. She was committed to healing, and was doing everything right in terms of diet, supplementation, and exercise, but her condition did not start to improve until she discovered that the root cause came internally from how she felt about herself.
She dove deep into spirituality and developing her creative skills in photography as creating beauty in the world has always been her true passion. She found self love to be the greatest healer spiritually and physically and was inspired to create experiences for women that celebrate differences and inspire personal growth and connection to their bodies and feminine energy. Having lived with chronic illness most of her life and feeling the impact it had on her body and self esteem, her goal is to empower others to feel safe and beautiful in their bodies, tell their stories, and increase visibility for diverse bodies online.
