Our bodies change throughout our lifetime and the ups and downs of confidence and worthiness fluctuate as well.
Annie’s approach to boudoir photography follows an underlying belief that our bodies tell a story in every stage of life, and that each body and soul is uniquely beautiful with every scar, wrinkle, and stretch mark adding to your story. In a world that puts an emphasis on perfection, Annie’s intention is to celebrate every part of you — the triumphs, and the trauma, with any perceived flaws seen as a part of the beauty of the whole.

Annie’s approach uses natural light, and a dreamy film aesthetic to create portraits that are soft, sensual, and from the female gaze — more for you and less about what men see. She captures your soul as she guides you slowly and meticulously through the poses, allowing time for you to ground and connect. Boudoir portraiture can be a gift for a partner, but Annie highly encourages booking a session for yourself as a celebration and documentation of your journey.

Annie is known for boudoir in unique outdoor locations with stunning landscapes. Choose the privacy, depth and connection of an indoor studio session, or the boldness and freedom of an outdoor location. It is entirely up to you and what best fits your energy and vision. Annie has spent her whole life searching for a place to call home but has learned that until we cultivate a home within ourselves — nowhere externally will fill that void as gently, authentically, and powerfully. From a space of love, empathy, and experience, she is passionate about helping you feel at home in your body and cultivating a sense of peace within. Her goal is to give you a beautiful day of self-love and encouragement that you will carry with you.

Boudoir photography is a special gift to your future self, documenting your body through life’s beautiful milestones. Many of Annie’s brides return soon after to continue to document their bodies as they begin their motherhood journeys.

THE PROCESS

Reach out via the contact form or feel free to send her a DM on Instagram. Annie will set up a time for you to chat, so that you can connect, get to know each other, and so that she can learn more about your vision. If you decide to move forward, you will pick a location and a date, and she will send you a contract and questionnaire that digs deeper into how you want to look and feel in your images as well as your feelings towards your body.

Each session is unique and tailored to you, so based on your responses to the pre-shoot questionnaire, Annie builds out a mood board and Pinterest board within a couple of weeks of booking, then sends it back to you to ensure that you are both clear on the vision and what you are trying to capture on shoot day. Annie provides guidance on every creative aspect including hair, make-up, location, and wardrobe so that there is no guesswork on your part.

The day of your shoot is a luxurious, connective experience. You will be in a beautiful studio space or stunning outdoor location. You will arrive with your hair and makeup already done or have your makeup done by Annie’s artist upon arrival. You will have healthy snacks, listen to uplifting music, and chat as she walks you through the poses and cheers you on. Annie always shows you the back of the camera as she works so that you can make any positioning changes that you prefer.

Within three weeks of your session, you will receive a full gallery of 50-100 curated fine art images that are included with your session. At that time, you will have the opportunity to purchase any additional luxury albums, gallery wall art, or prints to remember this moment in your life forever. You will receive any physical products within four weeks of ordering.
